Le Duchou has a fishing lake stocked for the enthusiastic angler with equipment and tuition if required while the family can enjoy the facilities such as large swimming pool*, barbeque area, 80 acres to roam, including meadow and forest to view the wild life. The abundant bird life with species not seen in the UK, Hoopoe, Black Red Starts and many more, Wild Deer and Boar roam free and often seen at dusk. A freshwater recreational lake with soft sandy beach with restaurants and bars just 5miles away, canoeing, horse riding, walking or bike riding are just some of the activities to complete your holiday, many tourist attractions within a few miles drive. The Wine route, also the surrounding area has many famous vineyards which welcome visitors. Chateau's and castles to wander and marvel at, along with historic caves, the Perigord Region has much more to offer and will fill your holiday with wonder.

Le Duchou has two, 2 bedroom Gites with all modern facilities, including catering for the less mobile no stairs or steps, a walk in shower wet room, and uncluttered accommodation.

Le Duchou is located in the Forest De Double and as such has no public transport we would be more than pleased to collect you from the airport however should you wish to visit the local attractions car hire would be essential.

For those who wish to stay on site to make full use of the tranquil situation we would assist with two shopping trips per week to ensure your gastronomic taste buds are tantalized with local food and wine from the excellent local markets or supermarkets.
